What really great mistakes have you made?
Today I’m writing about mistakes, doing a little reframing and encouraging you to embrace them and share them. We all make them!
Roosevelt is quoted as saying; “The only man who never makes mistakes is the man who does nothing”. We can sit somewhere we hope is safe, make ourselves small, not get involved and hope things will quietly pass us by. Or we can choose to be brave and get out there and live life to the fullest. Which path do you want to take? Get out there, try stuff, dare to be vulnerable and along the way make some, in fact lots, of mistakes.

Imagining there are no limits… visualise alternatives and map out a path towards big juicy goals. Muhammad Ali is quoted as saying “The man who has no imagination has no wings.” How does this quote sit with you? How are your wings right now?…
All this shall pass
I lost someone dear to me quite suddenly at the start of this year. She’d been such a cheerleader and warm supporter in my life over the years. In between the moments of feeling the intensity of the big hole that had opened up and all the complex emotions that come with loss, I started seeking sense and a way forward. So here I am sharing some thinking on this strangely taboo subject.

What I’m musing about today, is the concept of goal setting and through goal setting the development of focus and through focus… stuff that lots of us are seeking; personal achievement, measurable progress, a sense of direction, tangible results and satisfaction.
Have you ever experienced what happens when you have far too many things to focus on? You begin a day with a massive to-do list and run about multi-tasking, working super hard, but never actually completing anything?
A good place to begin…
Musings on good starts, progress on gaols and incremental gains. ‘Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.’ Says Arthur Ashe, this appeals to my pragmatic side. When you boil things down, what else can you do?! However, it is pretty common to find yourself trying to do something far less sensible! I certainly have at points in time...
